Why Sampling Is Necessary
Determining whether a material contains asbestos fibres is only possible through sampling and laboratory testing. Asbestos fibres are too small to be seen with the naked eye, so visual inspection alone can never confirm or rule out its presence. Any material can be sampled and analysed for the presence of asbestos fibres, and all samples we take are analysed by a UKAS-accredited laboratory operating to ISO 17025.

How the Process Works
We come to you, so there is no need to remove materials yourself or send anything in the post. A qualified surveyor takes small representative samples from the material in question, seals them, and sends them to a UKAS-accredited laboratory for analysis under ISO 17025. Standard results are returned within three working days, and where a decision is needed urgently, we offer an emergency service with results within 24 hours.
